Ando Construction's origins date back to the Edo period as a carpenter, and it is one of Yokohama's oldest construction companies, with a long history since its incorporation.
Our corporate philosophy is to be a "construction industry that develops together with the community," and we don't just build buildings, we actively work on buildings that are needed by society, and we want to contribute to the future of Yokohama and the creation of a city where everyone can live comfortably. thinking about.
Since our roots are in carpentry, we are strong in wooden construction, and we are also good at building large-scale facilities that make use of wood, which are now often seen in welfare facilities, and we have accumulated many achievements. The construction industry is an indispensable industry that provides food, clothing, and housing necessary for human life.
However, the nature of their work is not well known to the general public. For this reason, we are also focusing on community-based CSR activities, such as giving vocational lectures to children at local elementary schools. We will continue to aim to be a construction business that interacts with local people, grows together with the local community, and is trusted by the local community.
There are three things you can experience through an internship at Ando Construction. Through the experience of actually working, you can imagine what it would be like to work in the construction industry, and you can also experience what kind of concepts and technologies are used to create "architectures that give back to the local community," which is our company's goal. I hope that you will feel a positive response in the future.
1. On-site experience
I think many students are wondering, "What kind of work does construction management actually do?" You can experience the work actually being done at construction sites, which are usually difficult to access, and feel the charm and reward of manufacturing in the construction industry.
2. Honest talk with employees!
You will work on a construction site together with senior employees working on site. While experiencing first-hand work at a construction site, you can directly ask senior employees about the rewards and hardships of working at a construction company, as well as about the work environment.
3. Learn about the construction industry
This is an opportunity to actually learn about the general construction industry, the work of a locally-based construction company in Yokohama, and how to work.
