Showa Construction Co., Ltd.
I want to convert the ``mottainai'' that is created in the process of manufacturing into value.

Please help us plan a new business that sells interior materials left over from construction sites!

We want to revitalize the city and contribute to the local community through the construction industry.

Since our founding, we have strived to become a company that continues to be loved by our customers and the local community, based on our belief that we "serve to build homes."
It is the responsibility of a construction company to build buildings, create roads, and create towns together with local residents. There is an irreplaceable joy in the work of creating something new, but on the other hand, there is also the aspect of destroying nature in order to procure the materials needed to construct buildings.
Based on this reality, we are actively working to ``contribute to local communities'' and ``create a sustainable society'' through revitalizing shopping streets and beekeeping businesses.

project overview

What we would like the interns to work on this time is planning a new business that sells interior materials that are inevitably left over from construction sites. There are also home furnishings such as tiles, wallpaper, shelving, flooring, and in some cases toilets. These items are stored in warehouses, but in the end they have no choice but to be disposed of.
When I wanted to do something about this ``waste'', I came up with the idea of ``couldn't we resell it to individuals who like DIY?'' All of them are reasonably priced if you buy them at a home improvement store, but in this business we want to put more emphasis on making effective use of things that would otherwise be thrown away, rather than making a profit.
First, we will take a look at what materials are available, examine Mercari, Jimoti, and other tools to sell them, and propose a project that will lead to a future "marketplace for surplus interior materials." We are looking for students who can.

we are such a team

We believe that we must not do anything that would make others think we are being sloppy. On top of that, the "houses" we build are our customers' assets and dreams themselves. I am entrusted with something very important, so I will not be allowed to do any random work. We regularly tell our employees that we want them to approach their work with a sense of mission, so that we can continue to work with them long after the building is built, rather than just a one-time transaction. Another thing we value is being closely connected to the local community and contributing to society.
Recently, with the aim of revitalizing the local shopping district, we have been running the ``Zenhama Slipper Table Tennis Championship'' using slippers, and we have been running a beekeeping business on the roof of our head office for 10 years to produce local specialties. I am. In addition to selling honey and sweets, we also offer opportunities to interact with local children through honey harvesting and other activities.
We believe that the work of architecture is not only about building houses, but also about building people and cities. We aim to continue to be a company that is needed by the local community, focusing on activities that energize the town.
