On Wednesday, June 6th, the second management meeting was held at the AGC Yokohama Technical Center.
This meeting is an initiative aimed at promoting interaction among the executives of major companies that are members of the Yokohama Mirai Organization and exchanging opinions and ideas regarding innovation creation.
The second meeting was based on the suggestion to hold a facility tour that emerged at the first meeting in February, and included a tour of the AGC Yokohama Technical Center and an exchange of opinions.
The event was attended by 12 people from 28 companies and organizations, mainly consisting of R&D department heads and above from major member companies. First, AGC Executive Fellow Inoue gave a brief overview of AGC's company profile and its initiatives for creating innovation.
Next, we visited the AGC Yokohama Technical Center. The AGC Yokohama Technical Center is the central base for AGC's technological development. We were able to experience the latest technology first-hand.
After the tour, the participants exchanged opinions on innovation creation efforts and ways to collaborate with startup companies.
At the social gathering after the exchange of opinions, the participants got along well with each other and had a great time, further deepening their friendships. At this management meeting, in addition to being able to experience AGC's wonderful facilities, technology, and hospitality, the various initiatives, thoughts, and concerns of each company were shared through the exchange of opinions. We will continue to hold such meetings in the future to promote interaction among various levels of the company.
