Creating the Yokohama of the future! Workshop for students thinking about Yokohama City [What will the future "Smart City Yokohama" be?] held

A must-see for students attending universities with campuses in Yokohama City!
We are looking for participants for the student workshop "What will the future of 'Smart City Yokohama' be like?" hosted by the Yokohama Future Institute and Yokohama City.


There is currently active movement towards realizing smart cities not only in Yokohama but around the world.
Yokohama City has a unique history and characteristics, and is one of the largest cities in Japan.
What kind of smart city should we aim for in the future?

Each time, we deepen our understanding of domestic and international smart city trends and put them into practice in workshops.
This is a valuable opportunity to pursue for yourself the smart city that Yokohama should strive to become!

Workshop Features

1. Learn about the latest smart city trends: Through the latest information on smart cities both in Japan and overseas and through voices from the field, you can gain a deeper understanding of smart cities from a wide range of perspectives.

2.Practical experienceParticipants can experience the entire process of thinking together with other participants and supporters, creating concrete proposals, and presenting them.

3.Connections with companies and organizations: You will have the opportunity to learn about the efforts of companies and organizations involved in smart cities and make real-world connections.

4.Presentation at a large event: The results will be presented at the YOXO FESTIVAL 5, which will be attended by 2025 people, and will serve as a stepping stone to the next step.

Target: Students studying at a university with a campus in Yokohama (regardless of major, undergraduate, or graduate school)

Part2：Wednesday, November 11th "What is the direction of Yokohama as a unique smart city?" Location: Yokohama Minato Mirai 13 (Queen's Square 21rd floor)

Part3：Wednesday, November 11th "Potential for Corporate Co-Creation in Smart City Yokohama" Venue: NTT East e-city Labo (Chofu City)

Part4：Wednesday, November 11th "What is the 'Smart City Yokohama' in the World?" Location: Kanagawa University Minato Mirai Campus

Part5：Wednesday, December 12th Workshop results presentation preparation Venue: Yokohama Minato Mirai 11 (Queen's Square 21rd floor)

Final Announcement：January 2025th, 1 (Saturday) Presentation and panel discussion at YOXO Festival
