The management meeting is an initiative aimed at promoting interaction between management of major companies that are members of the Yokohama Future Organization and exchanging opinions and ideas regarding innovation creation.
This time, we will report on the 10rd Management Meeting held on October 22nd.
"Environmental issues"
"Creating a sustainable global environment"
"SDGs"
When you hear this, you may have a serious and serious image in your mind, but
Contrary to that image, a facility has been created where both adults and children can learn while having fun.
That is the stage for this management meeting.
It's "Green Park FLOOP"!!!
Green Park FLOOP is a new facility that just opened in June 2024 at the Fujifilm Business Innovation Co., Ltd. Minato Mirai office.
An experiential facility with themes of "environmental issues" and "technology."
As a place where adults can make new discoveries and children can learn and think freely,
The aim is to encourage exploration of a sustainable future for the Earth while experiencing a variety of MFP-related technologies.
The space is filled with a sense of openness, with a green motif, and the design is somewhat reminiscent of a theme park.
What fun-loving kids,
There is even a rumour that he wanted to go to FLOOP instead of the famous dreamland!
This time, we will be telling you all about the appeal of FLOOP and what the management meeting was like!
1. Opening remarks and facility introduction
Now, let's get started with the management meeting!
First, Executive Officer Fukunaga of Fujifilm Business Innovation Co., Ltd.
We received an opening address and an introduction to the Green Park FLOOP facility concept and overview.

2. Facility tour
[Studio] area where you can experience the city of the future
After being introduced to the facility's concept, we split into two groups to tour the facility.
By the way, this [Studio] area is not just a projection space.
Actually, there is a way for you to become a character working in Mirai City!

All the participants seemed to be enjoying themselves.
With a big smile on his face, he sent his character flying to Mirai's Yokohama.
Next up was the business card making experience.
This area also goes beyond simply entering text to create a business card.
Amazingly, you can create business cards by reading handwritten characters!
By the way, these business cards are apparently very popular with children!
Apparently, there was a time when I got so engrossed in exchanging business cards with friends that I ended up losing my own!

[Technology] area where you can experience the principles and technology of products
Next, in the Technology area, you can gain a deeper understanding of the multifunction printers that you use every day.
Participants seemed very interested in getting a glimpse inside a multifunction printer, which is something that is rarely seen.
The most exciting part of this section was the "How to make colors" section!
Each person is responsible for one of the four colors: "Y: Yellow", "M: Magenta", "C: Cyan", and "K: Black".
The goal is to recreate the color of the given theme by mixing them together.
This corner requires unity among the four members.
The curious result is...
A whopping 100 points!
Applause erupted spontaneously and everyone was smiling and enjoying themselves.

Learn about global environmental issues and future projections in the "Think" area
The next area, [Think], mainly deals with environmental issues.
Although the theme tends to be serious and grave,
We have made every effort to ensure that learning is serious, meaningful, and yet enjoyable.
The most exciting event was the "Earth Future Summit"!
Six people gathered together to discuss the theme of how they would think about future environmental measures if they were representatives of their countries.
The initial split of opinions was 1/5, but as we listened to the opinions of the other members, the split became XNUMX:XNUMX.
It was a wonderful content with lots of laughs and learning!

Learn about efforts to tackle environmental issues in the [Action] area
The last area is [Action], which is about reducing CO2 emissions and promoting resource circulation.
How much of what material is recycled?
And how is the recycling carried out?
And how do recycled items differ from new items?
Learn about the behind-the-scenes of CO2 reduction and recycling that you don't normally see.
I was able to learn by holding it in my hands, seeing it with my eyes, and actually using it.

3. Exchange of information and opinions regarding environmental initiatives
After the extensive tour of the facilities, the event began with a discussion hosted by Executive Fellow Inoue of AGC Inc.
