YOXO FESTIVAL 2025Many companies and universities conducted proof-of-concept experiments and demonstrations at the event, creating opportunities for collaboration among exhibitors across different industries and business formats, as well as encouraging interaction with local residents and creating innovation throughout the city.

BUSINESS DAY

BUSINESS DAY was held for the first time with the aim of providing an opportunity for a wide range of players, including companies, startups, schools, and government, to interact across fields and create innovation and co-creation. Exhibitions and talk events were held at a total of five venues, centered around the Landmark.

The event kicked off with the "Red and White Tech Battle of Yokohama's Engineers" held on the open stage of Landmark Plaza, by volunteers from Minato Mirai and Yokohama. The engineers shared their passion for their respective technologies and engaged in a heated competition. As a result, the White team won!

After the engineers' passionate discussion of technology, a session was held entitled "Recreating Trust for a Sustainable Society - Beyond 2040." This program was part of the KGRI2040 Independence and Self-Respect Project, and involved a diverse range of researchers exchanging opinions about the state of society in the future.

In the exhibition area on the first floor of Landmark Plaza, cutting-edge technologies such as Mitsubishi Electric's "Automatic Delivery Robot" and a "Hands-Free Semi-Automatic Wheelchair" by a Keio University startup (planned) were introduced. Many people working in the surrounding area visited the exhibits and engaged in lively discussions about the technologies.

In the conference area, executives from major companies representing Yokohama held a lively discussion on the theme of "The reality of innovation originating from Yokohama." The "management meeting," which is usually limited to members of the Yokohama Future Organization, was held as a special open roundtable discussion, where executives exchanged frank opinions on the challenges of innovation and collaboration with startups. Among the companies taking to the stage were JFE Engineering, Bosch, Macnica, Mitsubishi Electric, Mitsubishi Chemical Group, and AGC.

In the evening, an interactive program was held with the theme of "College Students x Working Careers." In this program, university students and professionals active in a variety of fields, including global entrepreneurs, flight attendants, innovators from major corporations, and social entrepreneurs, gathered to talk about future possibilities.

At TECH HUB YOKOHAMA, VCs, CVCs, and financial institutions gathered together to hold a demo day event aimed at creating unicorn companies in Yokohama. The event greatly increased the enthusiasm and enthusiasm for forming a startup ecosystem in Yokohama.
