YOXO FESTIVAL 2025Many companies and universities conducted proof-of-concept experiments and demonstrations at the event, creating opportunities for collaboration among exhibitors across different industries and business formats, as well as encouraging interaction with local residents and creating innovation throughout the city.

OPEN DAY
I "Space Area" Minatomirai Station Mirai Tube





Space-themed exhibits were gathered near the ticket gates of Minatomirai Station. Among the many futuristic exhibits, such as a model of a space habitat by Kajima Construction, a VR experience of a lunar plant by JGC Global, and space food sales, the efforts of Kanagawa University's rocket club were particularly impressive. They exhibited an actual rocket that was used in a demonstration experiment and damaged during the recovery process, and we were also able to hear live stories from people involved in the experiment. While experiencing future space life and technology, we were also able to experience a more realistic side of space, and the distant world of space suddenly felt closer to us.
J "Modifications and Gadgets AreaTECH HUB YOKOHAMA



At TECH HUB YOKOHAMA, an impressive area was set up where many of the "Magical Modification Monsters" that appeared on NHK's "Magical Modification Night" were gathered together. Passionate engineers gave explanations and actual demonstrations, and visitors were moved by the innovative ideas and technical capabilities, and the atmosphere was so enthusiastic that children and adults alike were captivated. The world of magical modification, which combines dreams and playfulness, was very stimulating!
K:Science and Research Area" MARK IS Minatomirai Grand Galleria





In the Science and Research area, community members of the Keio University-led "2040 Quest" gathered to introduce a number of solutions to future social issues. Particularly noteworthy was the experience by a laboratory in the Faculty of Science and Technology at Keio University, where visitors could move atoms by hand to create their own original molecules. This experience was extremely popular, providing visitors with a new perspective on the depth of the microscopic world and the foundations of life and matter. Many visitors were likely inspired by seeing the vision of the future that researchers envision on a daily basis.
L"Food and mini stage area" Grand Mall Park



At Grand Mall Park, food stalls offering local cuisine from Shizuoka and Kochi appeared, creating a relaxing and soothing area within the YOXO FESTIVAL. While visitors leisurely enjoyed the delicious food, a variety of entertainment was on offer, including a lively street performance, a lively basketball experience, and more.
M "Learning and SDGs area" MM Terrace





In the Learning and SDGs area, there were fun workshops where people could learn about a variety of themes that are useful in the real world, such as environmental policies undertaken by companies and governments, programming and financial education. Particularly popular among these was the racing car craft experience. This experience allowed people to learn about the mechanics of cars while having fun, and not only children, but parents were also seen becoming more engrossed in the experience, reminiscing about the past.

In the Mirai Technology Workshop area, well-known companies involved in the semiconductor manufacturing process gathered together to display exhibits that people of all ages could enjoy while learning. Many hands-on programs based on science experiments were exhibited, and ULVAC's vacuum technology in particular attracted attention, providing a valuable experience of learning about the "edging" technology used in the manufacturing process. While experiencing the semiconductor manufacturing process for yourself, it was a great opportunity to learn about the technology and roles of companies behind the supply, and how semiconductors are used in the real world.
O "Music and MobilityBusan Area" Yokohama Sympho Stage



In the Music and Mobility area, Yamaha unveiled a number of sound-related technologies. Particularly noteworthy was the public road test run of the "Grithro Mobility," a collaboration between Yamaha Motor and Yamaha. While riding in the Grithro Mobility vehicle and driving through the streets of Minato Mirai, 20 speakers installed inside the vehicle played sounds themed on Yokohama's history, providing test riders with a new sensory experience through mixed reality. This initiative, which combines history and technology through the use of "sound," shone through with Yamaha's unique style.

In the craft and workshop area, there were many workshops that parents and children could participate in together. Parents and children could be seen enjoying time creating special, one-of-a-kind pieces through experiences such as making accessories, stained glass, kaleidoscopes, and coloring books.

At YOXO BOX, startups with ties to Yokohama engaged in lively discussions on the challenges and possibilities of child-rearing environments. In addition, the "Parent and Child Job Exhibition" was held in the city of Kannai, where panels introduced the passion of people working in Yokohama toward their work. Many parents and children were seen having fun touring the city together, providing a warm opportunity for interaction.
R「Startup and childcare area" Sakura Street



Sakura Street in Kannai became a lively event venue as a startup and child-rearing area, with a wide variety of activities taking place. There were many unique experiential events such as a shooting experience by Yokohama Excellence, a charcoal grilling marshmallow experience, and a computer disassembly workshop, and many parents and children were seen enjoying themselves with smiles on their faces. These familiar and fun experiences offered by startups and sports teams seemed to raise the energy of the entire area.
