Mirai Lab Interview Report
This is Iemura, Innovation Coordinator of Yokohama Future Organization.
We would like to introduce the collaboration event Mirais Lab held by Team Miraist, a group of 30 people who connect Yokohama, and Yokohama Future Organization.
■What is Mirai Lab?
Mirais Lab is a one-off event where participants can generate ideas in a short time for "people and organizations who want ideas" by Team Mirais, which fosters a cross-border culture that transcends the walls of companies and organizations in Yokohama and creates innovation.
We asked Ms. Takano of Miraist, who initiated the event, and the Yokohama City Central Library, who was a guest speaker at Miraist Lab, about the appeal of the facility.

“What happens when players who are acting independently in various fields meet by chance and face a common question?”
We interviewed Mr. Toshiyuki Takano of Miraist, who collaborated with Yokohama Future Organization to create Mirai Lab, a social experimental event.

Q. Please tell us what inspired you to participate in Mirai Lab.
A. Originally, I was working in the libraryDigital Archive City of Yokohama Memories (*)I wondered if it could be used in elementary school classes.
When I received the offer, I was asked about the use of digital archives.I want some ideasOnly the feeling was ahead, and the specific issues were not solidified.

Q. Thank you for taking the plunge!Were you worried about participating?
A.Before the eventThere is a preliminary practice session to brush up on how to ask questions about the ideas you want.I'm glad it came out.
They also provided support for how to create materials and tips for presentations.

Q.What kind of ideas did you get from Mirai Lab?
A.We received an idea that can reach people who were not originally interested in digital archives from the point of view of games and art.
For example,'Creating a digital library where you can enjoy the sense of solving mysteries','Animating Ukiyo-e data'Such an idea left an impression on me.
Q.I like that you can learn about the history of Yokohama while playing!Finally, please tell us about the state of the library after the digital archive was widely known.
