YOXO FESTIVAL is an urban festival centered on innovation, inheriting the DNA of the Yokohama Gadget Festival*, and was launched in 2022 by the Yokohama Future Innovation Agency and the Yokohama City Economic Bureau. 2026 will be the fourth time the festival is held.
[※] Yokohama Gadget Festival: A hands-on event started by volunteer engineers in the Yokohama area, where visitors can see and touch handmade gadgets and newly developed products and hear from the developers. Co-hosted by companies in the Minato Mirai area and the Yokohama City Economic Bureau, it was held from 2015 to 2019.
YOXO FESTIVAL is working towards achieving "zero carbon" status, meaning that carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions are virtually zero, by utilizing non-fossil fuel certificates and J-Credits for the electricity and heat used at the venue in cooperation with its decarbonization partner, Minato Mirai 21 Heat Supply Co., Ltd.
